We are a tight-knit group of composers and musicians who are dedicated to providing our clients with exactly whatever their music production needs require.

Our main goal is to provide stem mixing and mastering for both new and seasoned song writers of any genre. Because of our extensive professional level sound libraries and in-house musicians, we can flesh-out even the most basic demos and take them to the point of being completed projects that are production ready.

As the owner, I especially enjoy working with new talent that is ready to take that next step in their music career. For that reason, here at OZV, we do our best to provide a relaxed zero pressure environment throughout the entire process. There are a lot of new song writers out there who are hesitant to take this next step: they feel they're not ready. Trust me when I say...you are ready. If you have an idea for a song, you're ready. Believe in yourself.

I've been creating music in various capacities for over 45 years . After moving to Hawaii in 2005, I put together another mixing and mastering studio. I've worked with local and mainland musicians as an engineer and producer to give them a final product that is ready for release.

I was fortunate to have been able to work on an album with Pat Sample at his world-class studio , Paradise Sound, in Index
Washington, many years ago. I've also had the pleasure of working with top musicians from the New York Broadway scene and Canada.

After meeting an eclectic group of performers and composers here on the island, I decided to create a sync library. Our goal is to provide sync agencies and music supervisors with whatever content is needed.

Hailing from the dark and rainy Pacific Northwest, James has developed a melodic story telling style of music with elements pulled from the local grunge and alt scene.

He marries those elements with pop/rock stylings to create unique upbeat songs.

Many of the base tracks used for the OZV sync library are the result of his work.

He has also performed as a bassist and songwriter for multiple local bands here in Hawaii.

With wide ranging experience in many different genres, James is always very capable, and enthusiastic, to contribute on any of our collaborative projects.

Though I am native to San Francisco and part native Hawaiian, I grew up training in the performing arts in the city of Montreal. I studied literature and theatre at McGill University . I still enjoy working in Montreal as well as New York and Hawaii.

I've toured with the San Francisco Villa Sinfonia Orchestra in Germany, Austria, the British Isles, and Hawaii.

Since then, I have composed music and designed sound for theater, audiobooks and film, including the film, "Pharms".

Over the years I have recorded and performed live as a violinist and vocalist with various artists and award-winning composers, including Michel Cusson, Jake Smith of Lakes of Canada, Patrick Watson and Molly Sweeney.

I am working on a solo debut of "Gloomy Industrial Pop" songs for release in 2025.
